About The Chattooga Club
The Chattooga Club is a small private club community in Cashiers, Jackson County: 211 acres with just over 100 homesites. It is one of the few plateau clubs built without a golf course; the sporting life here is croquet, on two full-size lawns, plus three Har-Tru clay tennis courts, three pickleball courts, a heated saline pool with its own pavilion and bar, a bocce court, a playground and a summer children's day camp. The Lodge has seven guest suites for members' visitors and an indoor restaurant, and the Life Enhancement Center houses the fitness room and spa. Flower, herb and vegetable gardens and a hen house supply the kitchen.
Homes sit on wooded lots, some approaching five acres. The club says members do not have to own property in the community and asks prospective members to inquire directly, so buyers should ask the club about current terms. For buyers who want a club's dining, fitness and social calendar without paying for a golf course they will not use, this is the plateau's clearest example.
