Trillium Links & Lake Club
Private 750-acre golf and lake community on Lake Glenville, Jackson County: Morris Hatalsky course opened 1998, a club marina, indoor and outdoor clay tennis, and a new clubhouse replacing the one lost to fire in 2023.
About Trillium Links & Lake Club
Trillium Links and Lake Club runs from the shore of Lake Glenville up into the surrounding ridges, about 750 acres in Jackson County north of Cashiers. Developer Rusty Culbreth, partner Dan Rice and PGA Tour player Morris Hatalsky bought the first 600 acres; The Ridges section, added in 2001, brought the total to 750 alongside The Village and The Links. Hatalsky designed the course himself, a tight par-71 mountain layout of about 6,500 yards that opened in 1998. Culbreth's daughter and son-in-law have run the club since 2016.
Trillium is one of the few plateau clubs with direct lake access, through a club marina and boating on Lake Glenville. Other amenities include outdoor and indoor clay tennis courts, a pool, a fitness center, hiking trails, the Serenity Chapel and indoor and outdoor dining. The lakefront Landings complex burned in June 2023; a new three-story clubhouse with a restaurant, event space, pool, marina and a youth floor is replacing it, and its opening was targeted for summer 2026. Membership is offered in three tiers and extends full privileges to a member's children, grandchildren and parents. Housing includes single-family homes, townhomes and condominiums.
